[SGA fic] Rave Atlantis
Back in October, [info]rageprufrock solicited snapshot scenes in her journal and I kicked out a tiny thing about an illegal rave club in the bowels of Atlantis. And with the help and love of [info]reccea, [info]z_rayne, [info]miss_porcupine, and my other partners in crime, it has turned into this:

RAVE ATLANTIS

Summary: The nightlife on Atlantis is the lamest of any city John has ever visited.

[info]reccea wrote part 3 when I failed at it.

[info]z_rayne made the amazing, amazing webpage and is hosting the soundtrack. Love her.

[info]miss_porcupine fed me fabulous food, sat me down in her room, and ordered me to write.

And much love to everyone who read the snippets and commented and encouraged more.

EDIT: The link now goes to a temporary html version on my webspace. It currently lacks pretty pictures and music, but I'll poke around and see what's going on in that area. In the meantime, Rave is here.

O.M.G!!! Completely awesome! Though I guess I wasn't really paying attention and was surprised to find Darling Nikki was performed by someone other than Prince... I think I must go exercise so I can wear Laura's red tank top.

Again, hella kink, scorchingly hot, and the amazing emotional build-up and payoff! Yay!

*beam* Thanks! Yeah, I had both versions of Darling Nikki but the Foo Fighters seemed to go better with the rest of the soundtrack so I went with that one. (I can't remember if I got it from [info]reccea or [info]z_rayne but my friends have great musical taste.)

wow, that was so very good. music and sweat and sex, and a fabulous lovestory twisting through it all. I loved Cadman here-- smart, sexy, and she totally knew what to do to get Sheppard and McKay to stop being typical men and see what was right in front of them all the time.

I really enjoyed this-- thank you! (I'm also downloading the soundtrack-- I love that you used one of JC's songs in there :D)

Wow, thank you! Those are lovely comments. :) [info]reccea turned me on to JC's solo stuff when Schizophrenic came out and since she said she had "Right There" in her head while writing part 3, it seemed a great excuse to put it in there. I'm glad you enjoyed both the story and the music!

I've never wanted to be a fictional character as much as I want to be Cadman right this very second. Good god. The angst in the porn is such a great balance and the music! And oh god, I just. Wow. Yeah. I am so incredibly happy that this is complete. *siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

Wow. This was really just amazing. I listened to each track as I read the scenes and it just fit so perfectly.

This wasn't just a great fic, it was an experience.

You are awesome. This *story* is awesome. And so fucking hot. Unreasonably so, in fact. I loved the snippets as they came along, but having them all in sequence like this... Guh. The whole *thing* is like a dance, one step forward one step back, my move your move. The *tension* of it!

In conclusion: guh.

*blush* Thank you! I'm so glad it worked all strung together. There was a pattern at some point and I can't remember if I stuck to it at all or not, but the incremental steps were deliberate so...yay! I also almost decided that it didn't need actual porn at the end, but people...fixed me.

I can't thank you enough. I made sure I played only the songs you'd picked for each part as I read it, which made this an amazing reading experience.

That someone would go to the effort of putting together a story package like this, just makes me want to dance about and sing the praises of fandom and the generosity I find within it.

And then the *story*. Jesus-H-*Christ*. It just about killed me. I'm sure I've left comments for parts of this series, but reading them as one was a different thing all together. Your dance scenes were a sensual experience that was bordering on too intense. The last part put a huge smile on my face, and melted me right into a puddle of goo. Your character voices were pitch perfect; Cadman was a dream; the angst from John's denial of what he wanted was cutting; all in all this was just absolutely marvellous. Thank you so much.

The soundtrack is perfect (Yay for The Darkness) and the image of John, Rodney and Cadman dancing (and...uhm...dancing) together was so hot that it almost cured my bronchitis.

Oh God, yes.

This is so unbelievably hot and it hit so much of my buttons. The dancing, the grinding, the entire scene in the backroom, the fantastic ending. Perfect.

I knew you could make this so good, and it was well worth the wait.

Great music choices as well!!

I'm so very happy that you finished this! I remembered this story not too long ago and went searching for the bits and pieces you'd posted to LJ, and was very sad when I discovered I hadn't bookmarked them. But now they're all in one place and there's more, too!

Wonderful story, so very very hot, and it truly made (makes) me crave more Cadman fic. I love it a lot.
